When you browse the hygo.ag website (hereinafter the “Site”) or use our HYGO mobile application (hereinafter the “Application”), cookies, pixels and other trackers (hereinafter together the “Trackers”) may be placed on your browser or device.
This policy explains which trackers we use, for what purposes, how we obtain your consent and how you can withdraw it at any time.
1. What is a tracker?
A cookie is a small file placed in your browser when you visit a website. It is identified by a name and read again on each of your visits, which allows your browser to be recognised.
Other technologies have the same effect and are subject to the same rules: invisible pixels embedded in a page or an email, and the browser's local storage (localStorage), which keeps information on your device without automatically sending it with each request. We use both, and this policy covers them without distinction.
2. Which trackers do we use?
Our trackers fall into four categories, which correspond exactly to the four choices offered by our consent banner.
2.1 Necessary
Essential for the Site and the Application to work, these trackers cannot be disabled and do not require your consent. They are not used to track you or to measure audience.
| Tracker | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| preferred-language | Remembering the language in which you wish to view the Site | Cookie | 12 months |
| silktideCookieChoice_* | Storing your choice for each category of trackers | Local storage | Until you delete it |
| silktideCookieBanner_InitialChoice | Remembering that the consent banner has already been shown to you | Local storage | Until you delete it |
In addition, there are the strictly technical trackers of our hosting provider, which are necessary for load balancing and for the security of the service.
2.2 Analytics
These trackers allow us to measure traffic to the Site and the Application, and to understand which pages are viewed and how you navigate them, in order to improve our services. They are subject to your consent and disabled by default.
| Provider | Purpose | Data location |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog | Analysis of product usage and browsing journeys | European Union |
| Google Analytics | Audience measurement for the Site | Outside the European Union |
| Microsoft Clarity | Analysis of browsing behaviour | Outside the European Union |
2.3 Marketing and advertising
These trackers allow us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to personalise the ads shown to you, including on other websites and social networks. They are subject to your consent and disabled by default.
| Provider | Purpose | Data location |
|---|---|---|
| Google Ads | Conversion measurement and ad targeting | Outside the European Union |
| Meta | Conversion measurement and ad targeting | Outside the European Union |
| TikTok | Conversion measurement and ad targeting | Outside the European Union |
| HubSpot | Tracking our communications and managing customer relationships | Outside the European Union |
2.4 Support
These trackers allow us to display our messaging widget and to keep the thread of your conversations with our support team from one page to the next. They are subject to your consent and disabled by default: if you refuse them, the widget is not loaded.
| Provider | Purpose | Data location |
|---|---|---|
| Intercom | Support messaging and continuity of your conversations | Outside the European Union |
Data transfers outside the European Union are subject to the safeguards described in our privacy policy.
3. How do we obtain your consent?
On your first visit, a banner allows you to accept or refuse each category of trackers, one category at a time. Refusing is as easy as accepting: both actions are available at the same level, in a single click.
No tracker subject to consent is placed before you have expressed your choice. Until you have made a choice, the analytics, marketing and support categories remain disabled.
Your choices are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device. They are not sent to a server and remain in place until you change them or clear your browser data.
4. How can you change or withdraw your choice?
You can change your decision at any time, without giving a reason, by reopening the preferences panel from the dedicated icon at the bottom of every page of the Site.
Withdrawal of your consent takes effect immediately: the trackers concerned stop being used. It does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
5. How long are they kept?
The lifetime of trackers subject to consent does not exceed 13 months. The data collected through them is kept for a maximum of 25 months, then deleted or anonymised.
When a tracker's lifetime expires, you are asked for your consent again.
6. Your browser settings
Independently of our preference settings, you can set your browser to accept or refuse cookies, to be notified before they are placed, or to delete them periodically. Each browser has its own settings, usually in the privacy settings menu.
Please note: blocking all cookies may impair certain features of the Site, in particular remembering your language.
7. Advertising identifiers on mobile devices
Each mobile device has its own advertising identifier, which allows advertisers to deliver targeted advertising.
Android and iOS allow you to disable or reset this identifier at any time from your device settings. You will continue to receive ads, but they will no longer be personalised based on your history.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, in particular when we add or remove a provider. Any change is published on this page, and the consent banner is updated accordingly.
